If you’re a Missouri resident looking to advance your career or start fresh in a high-demand trade, the Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. This state-funded program helps adults cover the cost of tuition, tools, and supplies for approved training programs, like those offered right here at Pinnacle Career Institute (PCI).
If you’re considering becoming an HVAC technician or a Wind Turbine Technician, this grant can make your education more affordable and your path to a stable career more achievable.

The Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant is a financial aid program created by the Missouri Department of Higher Education & Workforce Development (MDHEWD). It’s designed specifically for adults pursuing education or training in industries where Missouri has a strong need for skilled workers.
In other words, it helps Missourians gain the technical skills that power the state’s economy, everything from renewable energy to advanced manufacturing and information technology.
Unlike many financial aid programs that focus on recent high school graduates, the Fast Track Grant was created for adults who are ready to return to school, change careers, or enhance their skills in a new field.

To qualify for the Fast Track Grant, you must meet a few key requirements:
Be a Missouri resident (or an active-duty military member stationed in Missouri, or the spouse of one).

Applying is simple:
You can also contact MDHEWD directly by emailing info@dhewd.mo.gov or calling (800) 473-6757, option 4, for assistance.

The Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant covers the remaining tuition and fees after all other federal and state financial aid has been applied. This means it’s designed to fill in the gaps left by Pell Grants, scholarships, and other aid programs.
The amount you receive depends on your program of study, financial need, and available state funding each year. The goal is to ensure every eligible Missourian has access to career training in high-demand fields.
For trade school students at Pinnacle Career Institute, that can make a big difference, especially for those in hands-on programs like:
Both of these programs combine online learning with a 10-day hands-on Boot Camp in Kansas City, where students apply their skills in real-world scenarios.

Pinnacle Career Institute (PCI), based in Kansas City, Missouri, is proud to be a participating school for the Fast Track Grant (for our Wind Turbine and HVAC Technician Programs). Our mission is to empower students to better their lives and contribute to their communities through quality education and career training.
Here’s why PCI is a great fit for Fast Track students:

Each program includes a 10-day Boot Camp at our Kansas City campus, where students train with real equipment used in the field, from wind turbine components to HVAC systems and safe climbing techniques.
Graduates can earn recognized certifications such as:
PCI’s Career Services team helps students connect with employers across Missouri and beyond. From resume assistance to interview prep, PCI provides the tools and support to help you land your first job in the field.
