Make sure to set aside specific time throughout the week to focus on your online work.
Remove yourself from any distractions. This may mean leaving your home to go to a coffee shop, bookstore, library, the school... anywhere that does not have any of distractions that cause you to not be focused on your work. If being in public causes more harm than good for your studying, pick a room in your home that you can be by yourself and that the people in your life know that when you are in that room you are studying and to please not disturb you.
Set a specific amount of time to study. If you tell yourself that you will study for a specific amount of time, it can make you work harder to complete your work because you know you only have that amount of time to do it. This is especially helpful if you have a busy schedule and you are one that thrives on a deadline. You can also set a deadline of having certain assignments done before you can leave your study area. Having someone to keep you accountable for this part is especially important, as they will check on you and keep you from making excuses to retire early.
Have someone who will keep you accountable. This was discussed in the last one, but it is vitally important to have someone who will keep you focused on the task at hand. It is easy for us to make excuses of why it is okay to finish early or take a break and it is very justifiable to us, so to have someone who will check on us and encourage us is important. Don't feel you have to take this journey alone.
