# Massage Therapy can extend into holistic medicine when learning how to apply a hot stone massage.

At Pinnacle Career Institute, it’s one of our student’s favorite things to learn about when it comes to holistic medicine.  A hot stone massage can be applied in a variety of ways. Below are the methods our students learn while studying massage therapy.

- The individual can lay on the stones, or the stones can lay upon the individual allowing the heat and weight of the stones to relax tired, tensed muscles.
- The stones can be used by the massage therapist as they administer the massage.
- Combine both a stationary and motion technique for a total hot stone massage experience.

Hot stone massage is a popular method used in sports and rehab.  If you haven't experience a hot stone massage and suffer from headaches, joint pain and or general stress then you might want to explore one today!
